Arnet was primarily established as a safety netting company and is one of the longest running safety netting companies in the country. We are a prevailing company that specializes in the rigging of safety netting and the company is now into its 13th successful year. Arnet was the first of its kind not only in the North East but nationally also.
Safety Nets supplied by Arnet are made (to British standards EN1263-1) from tough 100mm square prolyproplene mesh with a 12mm border that will absorb any shock caught either from a falling object or restraining a falling person. The tie cords are anchored and fixed at no more than 2m centres. Arnet operatives ensure that all safety netting is attached as near as possible to the working area, providing security to any falls. Any damages to the netting will be sufficiently repaired and a full repair service is offered. The use of safety nets with worn edge ropes, deficient loops or worn thimbles is strictly forbidden.
Rigging industrial safety netting is a practical safety solution for a mixture of works including new buildings or refurbishments and all netting is installed to European standards EN1263-2 We follow a thorough inspection and maintenance procedure ensuring that all safety netting is fit for its purpose before it goes to site. Once the nets have returned to storage after each job they are checked and examined carefully before being folded and stored.
Each net is tested annually and each net carries its own identification number, which is linked to a database record of its history and lifespan. The purpose of this test is to determine whether or not the net is suitable for another year's work.
Arnet can provide permanent or temporary handrail edge protection systems to suit any type of situation. All our edge protection is installed to European Standard EN 13374 and we can provide various stipulations of edge protection depending on client specifications. There are 3 different classes of edge protection which are A, B and C and the different classes will be decided on depending on the roof inclination.
We can provide stair towers to allow quick and easy access to roof levels and to compliment our edge protection and safety netting. All towers are installed to guidelines supplied by the manufacturers. They are both suitable for outdoor and indoor use and can be moved around a site as a project develops.
Arnet can offer fall arrest systems made from soft landing bags which are a cushioned bag designed to sustain a fall from height. These can be offered as an alternative where safety nets are not workable.
Rope access is used and required when a MEWP (Mobile elevated working platform) is unable to be used. There are benefits to roped access as other trades are able to continue working without any disruption to what they are doing and the ropes are generally installed and again uninstalled very rapidly thus cutting down on disruption.
Another option Arnet can offer where safety netting is not viable is a safety crash decking system. Arnet uses the TRAD safety deck system which is the top fall prevention solution that is recommended by the HSE. This safety deck system can be used for any area or project as it uses numerous panel sizes that can be modified to any shape or size. It can be erected quick and easily also
Safety netting must be tested on a yearly basis and Arnet can offer this service for you. Please contact us for prices.
